Weight-aware tracking
Load-cell sensors are intended to measure the weight on each assigned bottle platform, helping estimate the remaining spice quantity.
Introducing The Rack
A smart kitchen organizer concept that brings your spice shelf and your digital inventory a little closer together.

Designed around everyday cooking
The Rack brings practical storage together with the idea of knowing what you have and what needs topping up.
Load-cell sensors are intended to measure the weight on each assigned bottle platform, helping estimate the remaining spice quantity.
A companion app concept shows stock levels and uses your chosen thresholds to flag spices that need attention.
Keep track of the spices you need to replenish and make your next grocery trip more intentional.
The idea in three steps
The planned experience connects physical weighing platforms to a digital inventory, so the useful information is easy to find when you need it.
Each bottle sits on its assigned weighing platform in the organizer.
The sensor reading is handled by the ESP32 and intended to sync with the companion app through Wi-Fi and Firebase.
See quantities, monitor your chosen minimum levels, and plan what to add to your shopping list.
A few useful details
The Rack is being developed as a project concept. These notes explain the intended approach.
No. The current project plan focuses on weight measurement, digital inventory, stock thresholds, refill alerts, and shopping-list management. NFC and LED features have been removed.
A load cell and HX711 amplifier measure the load. The software will use calibration and the bottle's tare information to estimate spice quantity in grams.
The intended architecture is ESP32 → Wi-Fi → Firebase → Android app. Real-time updates depend on completing and testing that hardware and cloud integration.
